Well I drove all over looking for the Mach 460 stereo adapter that Mark claims he bought at Circuit City or Best Buy. I tried those two and Sound Advice and none of them have heard of any adapter that allows you to adjust the gain (output) of an aftermarket head unit so that you don't amplify and already amplified signal.

For anyone else with these problems, here is a link to LogJam Electronics. They sell all kinds of adapters...including the one we need for Ford Mach Audio systems.
